Tom Thomson, Founder and President of T. Thomson & Associates, has over twenty-three years experience in strategy and communications consulting in the U.S., Europe and in countries of the former Soviet Union. Until launching his own firm in July 2006, Mr. Thomson was an equity partner of The PBN Company, a highly regarded international strategic communications consultancy, with offices in Moscow, Russia, Kyiv, Ukraine, Riga, Latvia;  London, United Kingdom and headquartered in Washington, DC.

After several years of political campaign, government relations and public affairs experience in the U.S., Mr. Thomson served as Managing Director of The PBN Company's Moscow office from 1992-2000. Following a two-year assignment in the firm's Washington, DC office, he returned to Moscow to again assume the role of Managing Director from 2003 to December 2005.

During his career in Russia, he was a senior advisor to a wide range of international companies, including American Express, Visa International, Chevron, Statoil, McDonald's, Philip Morris, DHL, Coalition for Intellectual Property Rights, Diageo, Anheuser-Busch, Novartis, among several others, and Russian companies, including Caspian Pipeline Consortium, Troika Dialog, among others. Mr. Thomson is based in Washington, DC. He graduated with a BA from Oakland University in Rochester, MI and a MA from the University of Michigan.
